Day 1:
Upon arrival at Alexandria Airport via Cairo airport you will be met by our representative and transferred in air conditioned comfort vehicle to Alexandria to check in at your hotel and Overnight.
Day 2:
Today you will have the chance to discover Alexandria the old Capital of Egypt. After breakfast you will start your first visit with photo stop at the Library of Alexandria one of the most unusual architectural masterpieces of the 21st century, your guide will take you in a tour back into the history while you are walking in one of the greatest libraries all over ancient ages. Then go to Roman Theater (A theater with marble seats up to 800 spectators, Galleries, Section of mosaic flooring & a pleasure garden surrounded by Roman Villas& baths). Also from outside you will Visit Qaytbay Citadel & El Mursi Abu Elabas where you can have a free walk on the Cornish. Then you will escort to El Montaza garden, then back for overnight at Alexandria hotel.
Day 3:
After breakfast you will check out from your hotel and transfer to Alamein, a picturesque drive from Alexandria begins your tour to the site of one of the most costly battles of World War II, El Alamein. It was here that British forces halted the advance of General Erwin Rommel’s Afrika Korps into Egypt in 1942, claiming the lives of 80,000 men. Your first stop will be the Military museum featuring four main halls representing the countries that participated in the battle, and a joint hall exhibiting weapons and tanks. Here, you have an opportunity to view a series of paintings representing the battle and learn the role Egypt played during the war. Your next stop will be the cemeteries of the Commonwealth this famous cemetery contains the graves of soldiers from various countries who fought on the British side as well as monuments commemorating Greek, New Zealand, Australian and South African forces. Brief visits to the Italian and German cemeteries are included. Take the way to Siwa. Dinner and overnight at Siwa Sahli resort.
Day 4:
Breakfast will be served at the hotel, in the afternoon you will have the chance to have safari 4×4 vehicles will take you into the Great Sand Sea. You will visit Lake Shiata, Shiata lake is the first water hole on the old route to Libya. Your next stop will be Bir Wahed, just 12 km’s south of the edge of Siwa in the Great Sand Sea. As the sun is going down you will be served mint tea. Remember to take a jacket with you, because once the sun goes down the temperature drops rapidly in the desert. Dinner at the hotel and overnight.
Day 5:
Breakfast at the hotel, today you will have the chance to have sightseeing tour in Siwa starting by The Mountain of Deads a hill side full of tombs which were unknown to 19th century explorers. The huge limestone structure was developed during the 26th Dynasty and during the Ptolemaic period, and apparently was well known to locals. During WW II when the battles around Siwa were raging, they often hid in the tombs, and for monetary consideration, often sliced sections of the walls off for soldiers as souvenirs, but the Romans also plundered the tombs and often reused them. Your next stop will be the temple of the Oracle in the mostly abandoned village of Aghurmi in the Siwa Oasis is a most famous temple of Amun, now more known as the Temple of the Oracle because of Alexander’s visit when he conquered Egypt. It is actually one of two temples dedicated to Amun at Siwa, the other being Umm Ubayda. It sits atop a flat rock, and is a spectacular sight. Built during the 26th Dynasty (though the Oracle’s origin is reputed to be much, much older), this temple and its Oracle flourished well into the Greek and Roman periods. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 6:
After breakfast, you will check out and transfer to Borg El Arab airport (8 H3 0m) in case your trip ends on Friday or Monday.
